Join us at Fort Jesup in celebration of the El Camino Real Day! Guests will learn about the original El Camino Real as it travelled through the area around what is now Fort Jesup SHS, as well as the history of the original Old Soldier's Road and Highway 6 as it moved to the Spanish Texas border in the early 1800s. We invite everyone out to learn about the early roads that soldiers, settlers and those hungry for new experiences would have travelled during Northwest Louisiana's history.
